March 8-11. All games at Asheville, NC.
All-kenpom: Jake Cohen, Davidson (kPOY); De’Mon Brooks, Davidson; Karl Cochran, Wofford; Lucas Troutman, Elon; Andrew Lawrence, College of Charleston.
Davidson steamrolled the conference during the regular season, losing just one game and easily taking the top spot in both offensive and defensive efficiency in conference play. Of their 17 conference wins, 12 were by double digits. They enter the tournament on a 14-game winning streak including a home BracketBusters win over Montana. They’ve gone 36-3 against SoCon foes over the past two seasons. The primary threat to the Wildcats is the College of Charleston. First-year coach Doug Wojcik already has the Cougars guarding the three-point line like his Tulsa teams did.
Western Carolina gets half of home-court advantage due to proximity to the host site.
