If you can only watch one game on Saturday, ignore the overhyped Duke-Carolina rematch. Instead check out the Atlantic Sun Championship at 4 Eastern on ESPN2. It’s Troy State vs. Central Florida, the two best teams in a conference where the 3rd best team, Belmont, has wins over probable at-large teams Missouri and Air Force.

Troy is the wackiest team in basketball. They are 4th in the nation in steals. But get this, they have committed the fewest fouls per game in the nation. Quite a stunning fact. In the semis against Georgia State, they committed only 5 turnovers to GSU’s 27. The +22 margin was the most for any game in 2004, yet Troy needed a frantic comeback in the last 2 minutes to pull out a one-point victory. As usual, the Trojans have a propensity for lauching 3’s – 49.2% of their field goal attempts are from long range.

Central Florida is good too, just not as interesting.
